Wierd Swiss Easter traditions – I think they broke the egss on each other heads. Michael and Jirina; met them along with crazy Nick on Chizumulu (its easy to bond with people under those circumstances) and went up to Nyika with them…

Swimming Chizimulu Island, Malawi.. and Leah’s first paramour of the trip. Henceforth referred as the boy with pants on, that being a noteable feature on chizimulu…

Maria, who spent hours with Leah on the beach while Kerry and I had our first – and best ever – grown up meal of the trip at Monsoon outside Mombasa…

Lienkie and Tonie from Pretoria. The most hardcore travellers we met on the trip. They drive a beautifully designed 25yo Hilux live comfortably under a budget we sometimes use for lunch, made it out of a falling apart Burundi with minutes to spare… and one of their (many) previous trips was from St Peterburg to Hong Kong on 3rd class Russian and Chinese trains…

Thalia. Admittedly we needed another service for the car @JJs, but Leah made us come all the way back to Nairobi to spend as much time with Thalia (and family!) as possible…

Robert & Barbara. A Czechoslovakian couple. Yes I know Czechoslovakia doesn’t exist any more, but she’s Czech, and he’s Slovakian (or vice versa?) so… there. They were fun, wish we’d had more time with them…
